Cheap games: GTA Chinatown Wars DS – £9.99

I’ll never understand DS game pricing. It just doesn’t make sense. Consider the following example: -
Mario Kart DS
Released: November 25th, 2005
A fairly decent karting gaming for the DS and probably a right barrel of laughs in local multiplayer but still 42 months old so definitely looking a little long in the tooth.
Price on Play.com today: £24.99 (that’s $40.81 at the current exchange rate).
GTA Chinatown Wars
Released: March 20th, 2009
A very impressive port of 2/3rd of the GTA 4 city over to DS and mixed with the top down gameplay of the first two GTA games from back in the day. 2 1/2 months old, very impressive and pretty good fun too from what I’ve played so far.
Price on Play.com today: £9.99 (that’s $16.31 at the current exchange rate)
Conclusions: WTF?! And if you like GTA games and own a DS and haven’t got this already it’s probably time to buy because DS games just don’t get much cheaper then this.
