by Persus-9 on Jun.15, 2009, under indie, pc, reviews

Blueberry Garden is a lovely game, there’s no other word for it, lovely. It’s also small yet perfectly formed.
Sims 3: Alice and Kev
by Persus-9 on Jun.14, 2009, under pc

Rock, Paper, Shotgun have drawn my attention to Alice and Kev by Robin Burkinshaw aka roBurky. It’s a truely excellent weblog about the lives of his two homeless sims, the insane Kev and his long suffering daughter Alice. Kev has just made friends with a ghost and Alice is going through some difficult teenage years. It’s funny and heartwrenching and the bottom line is it’s brilliant stuff that makes me proud to have occationally healed this guy on the RPS TF2 server.
Damn, I want Sims 3 now but really with a £30 price tag, my ‘to play’ list in the state it is and the important things I should be doing rather than playing games (or indeed writing about playing games) there is just no way.

by Persus-9 on Jun.06, 2009, under thoughts

It seems odd to me that for all the fuss that Project Natal, Microsoft’s new motion-video-voice controllerless controller has caused at this years E3 that not many people are talking about the potential of Project Natal for PC and asking Microsoft the big question: when if ever will Natal be supported on PC?
Review: Test Drive Unlimited
by Persus-9 on Jun.06, 2009, under reviews

Have you ever dreamed of driving really fast down every road on Oahu? No, me neither, but that’s what I’ve been doing virtually in my spare time these last few days in Test Drive Unlimited.
The Lists
by Persus-9 on Jun.05, 2009, under omphaloskepsis
Yesterday I decided I was going to post once a day but didn’t really take into account the fact that I had to attend a conference today so I was out of the house for 14 hours. That’s my excuse for doing another omphaloskepsis post rather then starting on the real content. Anyway, look at the top right hand corner, you see that button marked “the lists”? Well on that page I’ve typed up the lists of the games I own but haven’t played yet, the games I’m thinking of buying, the games I’m looking forward to, the games I’m currently playing and the games I keep meaning to play more having started them but then got distracted. The lists aren’t finished yet so it’s still a work in progress and in the future (once I’ve produced some actual content for this blog) I plan to link them to posts (probably by adding tag links to the names) so you should be able to use the list as an index.
Anyway if you check the list you’ll see I’m currently playing Test Drive: Unlimited and tomorrow or maybe the day after I plan to write up my impression of it and that will likely be my first real article.
